A Google search for”F8 and being there” turned up about 1,300,000 results (in 0.27 seconds)and a search for “F8 and be there” came up with about 34,200,000 results (in 0.20 seconds)!

“f8 and being there” is an old photography saying. The story is that two old pros are at a photo competition. Each has a prize winning shot. One asks the other, “How did you get that image?” “F8 and being there,” was the reply.

Moral of the story is: you can’t get the shot if you don’t go out and take it.

at least this is my understanding of the saying. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks
