I did have four other plus the central sensor.  You are right.  Most of the nice flight shots I got over the weekend were done by pre-focusing the area where the birds were flying across.  I do think that your flight shots are sharper.  You are very skillful.  I need to practice more and more.]]></description>

Hi Nick,  By switching the AF Selection area you should have central sensor expand, the center AF sensor plus four others.  The key to flight photography with the 2X and a big lens is to pre-focus manually.  I hope to get out soon but have been too, too busy since I got home from Holland--finishing up with Holland stuff and finalizing arrangements for my great Galapagos Photo Cruise.]]></description>
