I did have four other plus the central sensor. You are right. Most of the nice flight shots I got over the weekend were done by pre-focusing the area where the birds were flying across. I do think that your flight shots are sharper. You are very skillful. I need to practice more and more.

Hi Nick, By switching the AF Selection area you should have central sensor expand, the center AF sensor plus four others. The key to flight photography with the 2X and a big lens is to pre-focus manually. I hope to get out soon but have been too, too busy since I got home from Holland–finishing up with Holland stuff and finalizing arrangements for my great Galapagos Photo Cruise.
