When I read the headline I thought you’d be talking about terns, which are mostly black-and-white in breeding plumage (well, many are) and which my tastes do run to. Long ago I did only b&w photography but now I use color, and I haven’t been very successful in converting. Have you seen the interesting book about Ansel Adams’s color photography? It’s full of photographic insights.
