So you mean most people do not agree that more pixels on the object gives you a sharper/ more detailed image? I have to disagree.

I&#039;ve done several test between my 7D and 1D4 with same lens mm from same distance, and up to about iso 3200, the 7D (more pixels) wins every time.

Your test indicate that less pixels gives sharper/higher res image. 
Why use a crop camera if there is no advantage having more pixels on the bird?

Using liveview AF should eliminate lens calibration needs for such a test.
