That&#039;s OK.I&#039;m confused by Sandpipers ;-P

Just remember that when you pick up HD from a store and it doesn&#039;t
say that it&#039;s formatted for Mac or it is for Mac then it means that you&#039;ll be able to read from it but not write to it therefore
you have to reformat it to Mac&#039;s default filesystem format which is HFS+ (extended).

In general,when you format a HD you set up a filesystem.
Each OS uses different one. Mac is using HFS+.Windows is using FAT,NTFS.
Since your external HD is in exFat the you&#039;re OK since both platforms support that format for reading and writing.]]></description>
