I rented a Canon 100-400 II from lensrentals.com earlier this year for a trip when they weren’t yet available without a long wait. I see that they currently have the Canon 400 DO II available. (Renting is also a great way to test equipment if you don’t have someone to borrow from, and aren’t sure if you want to buy it or not.)
