Thanks a stack Frank for your most-kind note. It was truly wonderful meeting you guys; Laurie is a loverly lady. I am thrilled that you were listening and were able to put what you learned on the IPT to good use after the fact; we strive to teach folks to learn to think on their own. As for Laurie and photography, you go girl!

Happy Thanksgiving as well. Laurie and I also went down to the refuge Wednesday morning and took advantage of the spectacular sunrise, sans birds, south of the flight deck off the road. Tripod mounted 6D will hopefully result in something to hang on the wall to remind us of Bosque. From there over the best crane pond (as you taught us) to get lift offs in the great light, only to turn around, still see the spectacular sunrise cloud colors, and get some sharp lines of geese coming in. Really cool.

Laurie and I would like to thank you and Denise again for the wonderful time at Bosque. Although the conditions may not have been the greatest during the class, being there on Wednesday with the winds out of the south and the bright overcast created some great opportunities for cranes and geese landing in the corn field. My set up there allowed--from my perspective--for some of the best landing shots of the trip. All that I learned from you and Denise really paid off.

Glad to hear the results of the x-ray did not show signs of pneumonia. We were worried. Hopefully you will feel a lot better for your next segment of the Bosque IPT. Also, please pass our out thanks again to Denise.

PS: You may have created a monster! Laurie is expressing a serous interest in bird photography. She was out there with some of my gear taking pictures all day long.
