It turns out that keeping an eye on the battery level is the key. As soon as it drops below 50% the 5D Mark IV drops the max frame rate to 6 fps.]]></description>

I doubt it as the 5D IV is based on the 5D III not the 7D II.  I will know for sure tomorrow when I get my 5D IV.
