A fantastic bird BUT, unfortunately, a photographers nightmare of a cluttered location. However that is the bird's natural habitat and you have obviously made the most of the situation. The branch, and the few inches that it has chosen as the centre of its lek, has severely limited your shooting position so it was obviously impossible to get a more simple background. The bird is tiny, so you had a limited depth of field and the chances of catching those constantly moving spatules in the same plane of focus as the body must be hundreds to one - so their position and sharpness is always going to be a compromise. Of the three images presented, IMHO, I prefer image 2. Definitely capturing the the fantastic colours and character of the bird and with the two outer tail feathers showing their use and flexibility, and the colour of the spatules, and nicely balancing the composition.
