I could have used a smaller aperture but I was so close that the additional d-o-f would have been pretty much negligible and that at great cost: a much higher ISO as I cold not have gone much slower than 1/60 sec.  Don&#039;t forget that we were already at ISO 4000!

Lastly, for 30 years I have been preaching &quot;focus on the eye and damn the rest along with d-o-f.&quot; That has been working quite well so why change now.
