This at least makes sense to me:

The ISO value goes up or down depending on how you have set the EC.

As I said, the advantage with auto ISO and manual mode is that you retain control of both shutter speed and depth of field while still getting the exact exposure that you want.

You are the first to mention that you still have to set the EC ...

Here is where you go wrong:

No camera can maintain proper exposure as you describe above when the tonality of the background and the tonality of the subject or subjects as well as their size in the frame is changing constantly. Only an experienced photographer can do that on the fly.  And working in Tv mode with Auto ISO can do the exact same thing. Anyone who believes otherwise you are seriously confused.
