I like the colourful houses on the hill, even though, in a prime example of human beings’ penchant for euphemisms, they are what would be called a “barrio nuevo” in Spanish. Literally it means “new neighbourhood”, as in one that hasn’t had much time to develop into something better, but it’s just a flowery term for a poor area. Looking forward to lots of great Galápagos shots!
