You are correct in that the ISO does NOT affect how much light reaches the sensor ... My question was poorly worded at best.  See more in the Friday, July 19 blog post.

I did not see that and I never value any such tests or ratings.  I go out and make photos. For AF tracking accuracy with birds in flight, especially those flying right at me, the SONY a9 is best by far.  So I guess that I agree :)
