I find the transaction cost of replacing a cell phone–hours of arranging settings, contacts, backups, and so on, and then hoping everything works–so onerous that I’m still using a 5-year-old cell phone. And I got that cell phone 5 years ago only because I lost the previous 5-year-old cell phone in the Potomac River. 🙂
