Like most folks, I was hoping for 35MP or so ...  But the improved ergonomics are a big plus for me. In addition, my kids are still gonna get a nice check when they put me in the box.

<p>Like most folks, I was hoping for 35MP or so &#8230;  But the improved ergonomics are a big plus for me. In addition, my kids are still gonna get a nice check when they put me in the box. </p>

Hi Bob,  It is more than adequate but pales overall in comparison to the a9 (an hopefully to the 19 II). I made more than a few good fligth shots in the Galapagos with the 7r III (see the blog) but would always go to the a9 in situations that were really challenging for the AF system -- fast flying birds and wake jumping dolphins for example.
