Sounds great. Yes, I love center Zone for flight with my SONY gear but Patrick swears by Wide with the a9. I do not understand the tracking AF options -- I need to do some research there ...

					<description><![CDATA[Hi Artie,  yes the intermediate zooms are incredibly flexible and achieve great results.  As an aside, I’m in Northern Israel observing the yearly Eurasian Crane migration.  Think of it as Bosque x 2-3 and much warmer with some 40k+ of these birds descending on this area.  In addition there are plenty of kingfisher varieties, kites, passerines, a few waders, wintering white pelicans, and waterfowl.  I hope you have the opportunity to visit sometime.  

FWIW I’m trying out the new a7riv and am impressed at many levels.  For perched birds, I seem to achieve best results with afc - spot small and for BIF, regular zone seems to be the more accurate.  The tracking modes seem to be more hit or miss, with zone tracking having the least accurate af and zone center/spot seems to wander to more contrasty or competing subjects.  What has been your experience?]]></description>
