Hi Byron,

You are missing the point. With ISO on the rear wheel you do NOT have to take your eye from the viewfinder. If you can operate the EC dial on top of the camera quickly and easily and accurately with your right thumb without taking your eye from the viewfinder you are a far better man than I. But even if you can, putting ISO on the Control Wheel as I suggested below is a far, far, far better way too do things ... In addition, you do NOT have to worry about changing background tonalities as you do when working in an automatic mode ...

with love, a

ps: I am not sure that you are setting ISO to the Control Wheel (Rear1 > ISO) as opposed to the default which assigns ISO to the right edge of the Control Wheel (Rear2 > 4). That should be set to Not Set :)

Can you make the first Homer IPT? I am offering a huge discount ...

You are right about the rare wheel on the A7iii. Mine is set to "not set" as I was moving the rare wheel by accident too many times. On my camera the exposure compensation dial does not seem to be too cumbersome to use for me anyway. The dial could be bigger. I set my f-stop and shutter speed ahead of time and use manual mode using auto iso. Seems to work with the wide altitude of the Sony sensor. I rather have my brain set the shutter speed and f-stop than the camera and using your brilliant zebra technique and the camera's wide latitude set the exposure. But, I could be way off base.
