SO much good, and the atmosphere the rain creates with the streaked droplets really highlights beautifully why one should keep on shooting in a cloud burst…
You asked for a critique so here goes.
1. Exposure: to me the whites behind the eye seem a little blown, and the legs a little grey, with no apparent ‘black black’. Suggests that this may look marginally better if the exposure dropped just a little, and particular slight change in black point may bring out a bit more contrast on the breast as well, whilst improving the legs. I am sure there is some detail in the whites behind the eye that you could extract.
2. I long for a tiny bit more grass below those feet as they disappear into the grass.
3. My personal preference in an image like this is for a slight vignette, which to me really helps to isolate the subject, but must be v subtle.
