Canon’s got a few terms that are odd. “AI Servo” sounds like a waiter in a robot cafe. “Continuous autofocus” is a more straightforward way of saying the same thing, with the advantage of being plain English. They also say “time value” instead of “shutter speed.” I won’t hold “evaluative metering” against them, because that’s exactly what it is, although Nikon users get to say “matrix metering” because that’s a Nikon trademark for their evaluative metering system.
