					<description><![CDATA[I would tone the highlights behind the bird down and leave the rest alone.  My reasoning is when I first view the image my eye goes there and with them removed my eye would go to the birds beak.]]></description>

I don&#039;t mind seeing the bird and then having my eyes roam around seeing the environment and specular highlights. To me they add to the scene and they don&#039;t detract from it.
