I think the notes at the McCauley site are possibly those of the photographer, whereas the description at BOTW would more likely be &quot;peer reviewed&quot;.  Photo was dated Nov. 6, 2016.  Sibley (1st ed) shows the juvenile white phase having a blackish bill, as in the photo, but the winter adult having a lighter, two-toned bill.]]></description>
