Hi David,

The D500 with the 200-500 would be perfect for a DeSoto IPT. That was my first Nikon lens and I used it with a full frame body. You could do the whole IPT with just that lens.  Many mornings I go out with only the Sony 200-600 and make a variety of great images.  Do you own the TC-E14?  And/or the 80-400mm?
