Hi Adam, 

Both videos were made minutes apart.  AF had no problem. I think what you are seeing is a difference in the speeds of the two clips.  The first clip was displayed at 4X, the second one at 2X. The lack of a slider to adjust the speed is a negative of iMovie.

					<description><![CDATA[Hi Artie, in the first portion of the video shot in the heavily overcast light, the camera appeared to be struggling a bit with the AF whereas in the later portion (second clip) which appeared to be shot later in the day in more directional lighting, the AF was better.  Yes, Mark is quite the guy and dialed in on Ospreys.]]></description>
