Maybe he was thinking of his largest camera, film size something like 18 x 24″, and having to compose upside down under a blanket, chest deep in alligator infested water. No thanks! But he does have a gracious side. I only talked to him once, at a book signing years ago, and when he heard one of the books was for our Audubon club in PA, he insisted on donating it. Plus, he now shoots Sony digital!
