Can you say Ruffles?  I&#8217;ll take Wise please.  <\/p>\n<p>Every morning that we photographed at the Pied Avocet colony island on Texel, I&#8217;d remind folks, &#8220;Look for the birds standing on ridges.&#8221;  Doing so moves the background farther from the subject than if the subject were on level ground.
