Exactly my kind of pic. #2 choice is a toss up between the chinstrap penguins and the backlit geese\/cranes.  The connection? \u2013 my wildcard guess is that they have all been shortlisted for the final round of judging in this year\u2019s BBC WPOTY competition.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>WPOTY is the presitgioius Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition.  I suspect that Paul&#8217;s guess was based on <strong><em>his<\/em><\/strong> having several images make the finals of this year contest.  <\/p>\n<p>My very favorite image as you might guess is the Chinstraps on the iceberg photograph.  We spent nearly 30 minutes with our Zodiac just inches from the iceberg and I had made lots of images like the one above.  It was only as we pulled away from the majestic iceberg that I was able to see the forest for the trees.  As is often the case, tt turned out that a shorter focal length was the better tool&#8230;.   <\/p>\n<p>Thanks to all who played.
