Evaluative metering +2\/3 stop: 1\/500 sec. at f\/4 in Tv mode.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>If your camera offers an auto ISO feature you can use it to get great results\u00a0when working from a boat in low light.\u00a0\u00a0 Activate your camera&#8217;s\u00a0ISO saftey shift or auto ISO feature and then set your camera to Tv (shutter priority) mode.\u00a0\u00a0 Next set the shutter speed to 1\/500 sec.\u00a0 This will usually yield sharp images with lenses of 400mm or less.\u00a0 Dial in the correct exposure compensation;\u00a0you may have to point the camera at the light sky and depress the shutter button to do this&#8230;. \u00a0 Now you are ready for action.\u00a0 The camera\u00a0 will automatically set\u00a0the ISO high enough to yield the 1\/500 sec. shutter speed.\u00a0 This will allow you to work quickly while producing sharp images without having to think too much.\u00a0 (When using this technique I usually set my ISO to 400.)<\/p>\n<table>\n<tr>\n<td>ngg_shortcode_2_placeholder<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>This Brown Noddy was photographed with the same gear as above.
