What’s Up?

On Sunday morning, I headed to a lake off Deland Avenue about 2 miles from my home to find some nice flowers. I did. Then I took a 20-mile (round-trip) exploratory drive to the end of Sam Keen Road looking for birds and wildflowers. I saw some neat birds but did not spend any serious time looking for flowers. On the way home, I stopped at Jimmy’s Gas Station on SR 60 and bought myself two birthday presents. See item next.

It has not rained at all for three days and the forecast for today, Monday 15 JUN 2020 is for cloudy and breezy. I will be heading out to photograph at about 7am.

What are they? I will share the identity of the two mystery photos featured below along with the capture info and techniques that I used in Wednesday’s blog post.

I was glad to learn last night that the sale of my Nikon D850 is pending.

Birthday present for self

Birthday Present For Self

Though I weigh only 174 pounds, am doing great, and have not injected a drop of insulin for more than six months, my sugar addiction still exists. After a small dinner on Sunday afternoon, I ate everything above in one sitting. In “one dunking session” would be more accurate. I made a large cup of light (almond milk), sweet (stevia) coffee and in addition, poured a glass of ice-cold almond milk. I dunked the cookies two a time in the coffee and washed each pair down with a sip of almond milk.

And no, I did not test my blood sugar last night or this morning. I sure enjoyed getting off the wagon. Today is a new day. To think, 25 yearss ago, I did something similar every day for 45 years. All in all, I am lucky and happy to be here now headed for 75.

If you have a food addiction that you wish to share, please leave a comment.

93 sold to rave reviews.

Gear Questions and Advice

Too many folks attending BAA IPTs and dozens of photographers whom I see in the field and on BPN, are–out of ignorance–using the wrong gear especially when it comes to tripods and more especially, tripod heads… Please know that I am always glad to answer your gear questions via e-mail. Those questions might deal with systems, camera bodies, accessories, and/or lens choices and decisions.
